INGREDIENTS - 200g (7 oz) peeled tomatoes, small piece of chilli pepper, or ½ teaspoon chilli powder, 500g. (17 oz.) green beans (runner), 2 cloves of garlic, little olive oil for frying, sprig chopped parsley, a few slices of toasted bread (rubbed with garlic, if preferred), salt.

METHOD - Lightly fry the garlic in a little olive oil, add the peeled tomatoes, salt, chilli pepper or powder and cook for about 10 minutes.
Add the green beans with the water that they cooked in.
When the beans are well cooked, pour the soup into bowls over the toast.
